DOMOCamp
I have recently stumbled across a fansite/portal for the MMORPG “Dream of Darkness Online” or simply, DOMO, at www.domocamp.com. The site has a pretty amazing community given the size of the download base of the game (currently around 400k from what I’ve read). The site features an active Forum, Wiki, support pages, downloads and other pages. While aware that the size of the MMORPG world is large and growing, I didn’t grasp the depth and detail to which people participate in these games and in the communities surrounding these types of games. It’s pretty cool.
DOMOcamp works hard not to get in the way of what the community wants to provide for itself, but it seems to me that in the world of free MMORPG games, that one would want to network beyond one game. The opportunity to discover more games and jump between those communities or tie them together would be very cool. I am not sure about the difference between RPG (Role Playing Games) and MMORPG other than RPG is the broader application and MMORPG is the strictly online version.
