Vegas weekend trip
I just got back from Vegas this past weekend. Was there for a bachelor party for my old college roommate. It had been roughly 4 years since I had seen him last, but it was nice to be able to pick up right where we had left off. For some reason, the whole trip out to Sin City witnessed bad luck after bad luck incident.
To begin, my Super Shuttle got a flat tire, and didn’t bother to call me to let me know I needed alternative transportation. Next, my cab driver needed gas upon picking me up, and on the way to the airport changed lanes the same time as another car. We almost hit side-to-side.
Once arriving to the airport, I my flight was to be an hour delayed. Nothing was going right and I thought I should just turn around. After an hour and 3 drinks, I boarded my flight and guess who I was in the middle of? 2 overweight people. My 5 hour flight with no armrests, little breathing room, and no sleep was a disaster.
Touch down… Another bump in the road, our rental car company didn’t have a car for us. There was some conference going on and they were all out. There systems are so out-of-date, they could not help us. With that, I stormed off and finally found luck at Budget Rent-A-Car. Budget was able to provide us a great deal on car rentals, as we needed 2 cars.
Budget came through for us and the rest of the weekend was…. what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
